When we realized that regular ‘education’ was not going to cut it any more, we decided to start homeschooling. Our goal was to tap into the most powerful learning tools available and build something that actually adapts to the learner, instead of forcing the learner to adapt to a system that may not be optimal for them..

So we started experimenting with AI-guided learning journeys tailored to each child at their own level, at their own pace. We wrote diagnostic tests to establish baselines, mapped trajectories to national standards, and created living documents — learning journals — that grow with each session, giving the AI memory of the learner’s trajectory.

In our first month, we began inviting beta testers from a wide range of learning contexts, including homeschoolers and students in traditional schools, spanning multiple ages, stages, and subject needs. This early testing helped us refine the system across different personalities, learning styles, confidence levels, and academic trajectories, showing us just how adaptable and widely needed this kind of support could be.

What started as custom AI for our family became a tool we discovered other families needed too. So we founded daddee.ai to help parents and their learners benefit from the tools we built for ourselves.

Our Process

Every daddee.ai learning journey begins with the family. We consult with parents to understand the learner’s needs, goals, pace, challenges, and educational context. We also look at the curriculum requirements that matter for that learner’s age, grade, and subject pathway, whether those come from national standards, state frameworks, or another educational route.

From there, we create a baseline diagnostic to establish where the learner is starting from. This helps us identify current strengths, areas that need support, and the most optimal path forward. Using that baseline, we design a personalized trajectory for the school term, shaped by both the learner’s real starting point and the outcomes they want to reach.

The GPT then guides that journey session-by-session, adapting to the learner’s level while keeping them moving toward clear goals. At the center of the process is the Learning Journal, a living document that records progress, strengths, challenges, and next steps over time. This gives the AI continuity from one session to the next and gives families a system they can review, run, and refresh term by term as the learner grows.
